Over the years, she has become an innovative artist, gaining the title of “performing arts soprano” who creates new formats of concerts.
She is also a vocal re-stylist, creator of the innovative singing method ARS “Art of Overcoming Resistances”, taught in Milan and in international masterclasses.
Finally, she is a music consultant for international festivals and singing competitions.

ORIGINS – Silvia Colombini comes from a family that belongs to the history of Italian opera: the composer Giancarlo Colombini, Puccini’s baritone Edoardo Camera (for whom the role of Scarpia was written), the baritone Giuseppe Bellantoni and the tenor Roberto Stagno, first “Turiddu” by Mascagni.
EDUCATION – She began studying music at the age of five. At first, she was a professional violinist, then thanks to Edita Gruberova she discovered her natural soprano voice. She studied singing in Vienna with Ruthilde Boesch (Edita Gruberova’s teacher) and after only three months of study, she won three international competitions and made her debut in Vienna in 1999 with the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus by J.Strauß, singing this role in over 100 performances and thus starting his international career.

VOCAL RANGE and REPERTORY – Silvia Colombini has a range of four octaves. She performed the leading roles of the lyric soprano/light lyric coloratura soprano repertoire. He has a vast repertoire: Italian Belcanto, Mozart’s works, German repertoire, contemporary repertoire.

CONCERT EXPERIENCE – Silvia Colombini has sung in thousands of concerts, recitals and operas in concert form. She sings in 13 languages and has a vast repertoire, which includes: opera, operetta, lieder, romances, songs and sacred music.
Among the most recent concerts (2022), we mention the Concert with the opera star Vittorio Grigolo for Armonie d’Arte Festival and the contemporary concert at the Ara Pacis in Rome for the cycle of events “Music in Museums” of the municipality of Rome. In June 2023 she will hold a long new tour in China entitled “The Queen of Italian opera”.

MEMORIAL LUCIANO PAVAROTTI
He received rave reviews for his breathtaking performance of Summertime in the 2016 Memorial Pavarotti concert in collaboration with UNHCR in support of refugees. The concert, as tradition, was held in an overflowing Piazza Modena together with the famous three tenors “Il Volo“.

CONCERTS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS Always attentive to the defence of human rights, for years she has been carrying out a cycle of concerts on Human Dignity with performances for equal opportunities and against violence against women and in favor of research for rare diseases. Many concerts of this cycle have been organized in collaboration with international diplomacy. Furthermore, the cycle of concerts entitled “Fragile Forte Farfalla” dedicated to children suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa (Colombini is testimonial of their non-profit organization Fondazione REB/Debra Italia) also belongs to this theme.

TEACHING – Silvia Colombini is a vocal re-stylist, because she works both technically and stylistically on the voices. She created the innovative singing method ARS “Art of Overcoming Resistance”, presented for the first time in China in 2011 at the Tongji University in Shanghai. She teaches his method in Milan and internationally, in university master-classes (for students and singing teachers) and as corporate coaching.
OTHER MUSICAL ACTIVITIES / MUSIC CONSULTANT & COMPETITIONS – She has been a member of the jury of several international singing competitions. She was artistic coordinator and member of the international juries for the first edition of the VINCERÓ world opera competition, with selections on 5 continents and a final jury composed of the 10 major theatres in the world including also La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York . She is also the artistic director and creator of ALLORO project, an absolutely innovative pilot project for Chinese singers and musicians, that represents a precious Italy-China cultural exchange (Alloro is a collaboration with the Chinese language and culture school “Chineseonline”). Finally, Colombini is the creator of the “Vocieforstage” a project in collaboration with Classicaviva Musical Association, to help young talents make their debut in the world of opera.
